STORYTELLING  

In 2016, the refugee crisis resulting from the war in Syria made news headlines daily, and the Ottawa community mobilized in support. It was an incredibly busy year; the city welcomed almost 2,000 refugees in the first six months alone.

R613 tasked Temple Partnership to document this story to help Ottawa celebrate its efforts and to inspire other cities to take on the challenges and rewards of settling refugees in their communities.

We gathered a creative team—videographer, photographer, graphic designer, copywriter and web developer—and directed the project from start to finish. Ottawarefugeestory.ca launched in June 2017.
